On October 15 local time, an opening ceremony was held for Sanya Juu-Alerai (32.2Km) highway project in Tanzania, which was undertaken by the East Africa Branch of China Geo-Engineering Corporation. Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan attended and unveiled the project. The construction and opening of the project is of great significance to the economic development of Kilimanjaro region, and will effectively improve local traffic conditions and promote tourism.

Construction was completed on June 20, 2019, and the project was handed over after the quality assurance period ended on April 29, 2020 before obtaining the certificate.
