CECEP Capital Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “CECEP Capital”) planned to establish the CECEP (Hubei) Environmental Protection Equity Investment Fund (hereinafter “Hubei Fund”) in cooperation with Daiwa Corporate Investment Co., Ltd. and Hubei Wings Investment Co., Ltd. The move intends to fully leverage the role of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) as a key platform in the comprehensive protection and pollution control in the Yangtze River Basin, innovate the investment and financing models for pollution control, and support the development of CECEP’s projects in Hubei Province. Considering the severe epidemic situation in Hubei, the three parties recently signed a promoters’ agreement via mails, marking that the Hubei Fund entered a stage of implementation.

Totaling 1 billion yuan, the Hubei Fund features a partnership with limited liability. As the first fund dedicated to the comprehensive protection of the Yangtze River, it will mainly invest in fields like energy conservation, environmental protection, recycling economy, new energy, new material, and high-end equipment manufacturing, with focus on supporting the construction of projects related to environmental protection, pollution treatment and ecological development in areas along the Yangtze River in Hubei Province. With the advancement of CECEP’s efforts to comprehensively protect the Yangtze River, CECEP Capital is taking active actions to spread its successful “Hubei Fund” mode in other provinces and municipalities along the Yangtze River.
